Gabriela Rochin worked for more than twenty years as a producer of various audiovisual projects. Formerly, Gabriela produced the award winning feature film, Purgatorio (2009), based on three short stories by renowned Mexican writer, Juan Rulfo. She also produced El Héroe (1994), an animated short film that won La Palme D'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Gabriela co funded Motion Control, a film productiion company that specializes in shooting advanced visual effects with the technology and technique of "motion control". Nowadays, the company continues to be the main provider of this service in Mexico. Moreover, in 2006-2009, Gabriela was one of the producers of ESTACION-ARTE, a non-commercial art exhibit that provided exposure to the works of emerging contemporary artists.

In addition to her professional endeavors and raising her two children, knitting has been an important part of her life. In 2017, she created Stitching Borders, a handmade knitwear brand. Stitching Borders generates employment for artisans through a network of weavers in Tijuana, Los Angeles and the State of Mexico.
