Jacqueline Valenzuela (b. East Los Angeles, CA) received a BFA in Drawing and Painting from California States University Long Beach (2019). Her work has been exhibited throughout the greater Los Angeles area, including the South Gate Museum (South Gate), Brea Gallery (Brea), South Pasadena City Hall Gallery (Pasadena), The Mexican Center for Culture and Cinematic Arts of the Mexican Consulate (Los Angeles), ArtShare L.A. (Los Angeles), and most recently at Motherling (San Antonio,TX) for, “L.A. To S.A.” an exhibition curated around the theme of exploring the art practices of a diverse group of artists whose work honed in on the idea of home, familiarity, and comfort. Ultimately giving viewers a glimpse of the interconnectedness that Latine communities throughout the country have. Valenzuela is a multi-media artist whose practice is centered around her personal experiences as a woman within the Chicano world of lowriding. Her art practice reflects the deep roots she has planted in the lowrider community by bridging the gap between fine art and this underrepresented community

Jacqueline Valenzuela (nacida en East Los Angeles, CA) recibió un BFA en Dibujo y Pintura de la Universidad Estatal de California, Long Beach (2019). Su trabajo ha sido exhibido en varias áreas del Gran Los Ángeles, incluyendo el Museo de South Gate (South Gate), Brea Gallery (Brea), la Galería del Ayuntamiento de South Pasadena (Pasadena), el Centro Mexicano de Cultura y Artes Cinematográficas del Consulado Mexicano (Los Ángeles), ArtShare L.A. (Los Ángeles), y más recientemente en Motherling (San Antonio, TX) para la exposición "L.A. To S.A.", una muestra centrada en las prácticas artísticas de un grupo diverso de artistas que exploraron temas de hogar, familiaridad y confort. Valenzuela es una artista multimedia cuyo trabajo está centrado en sus experiencias personales como mujer en el mundo del lowriding chicano. Su práctica artística refleja las profundas raíces que ha sembrado en la comunidad lowrider, cerrando la brecha entre el arte fino y esta comunidad subrepresentada.
